Hippokrates of Kos (460 - 375 BC) is considered one of the most famous physicians of the antiquity - and here in kos he created the world famous Asklepieion, the oldest hospital of the world.
Kos is the third biggest island of Dodecanese after Rhodes and Karpathos. The island is well known for its long history through the centuries, the very good climate, the beautiful villages and the town of Kos, the capital of the island with its museums, the cafés, the shops and the exciting nightlife.
